Business from the inside out

We live business from the outside in. It is all about our products, our services and our processes. It is never about the true reason why we wake up every day to do what we do. It’s never about the true purpose of our businesses.

When a business lives from the inside out, it puts a greater purpose first and allows all else to follow – leaving the bottom line exactly where it should be: at the bottom of a list of priorities.

During his presentation on living from the inside out, Pepe Marais will share his personal views on what stops us as humans from reaching our full potential. He will draw from his own life experiences – from starting to earn an income at age 12, to launching his own business at age 29, selling to a global group in his early thirties and buying his business back at age 40.

Pepe will share his philosophy on the difference between being human and being a human being and will demonstrate how living from the inside out does not only remarkably shifts one’s own life, but can also have a measurable impact on business.

Over the past two years he has applied his thinking to his own business, an under-priveledged school in Soweto, the Anglo American Chairman’s Fund and a handful of smaller businesses in the private sector, towards his vision of co-creating a country that could be a shining example to the world.
