Whether in a problem solving, service provision or advice giving capacity, this programme will equip you with consulting skills in order for you to engage with internal and/or external clients using a professional approach, one that both discerns the real needs and at the same time builds ongoing constructive client relationships.

Aside from solid models, tools and techniques, the programme deals with real life difficulties consultants experience such as dealing with difficult clients, the absent manager, ethical conflicts and how to promote yourself whilst working well with competitive colleagues. The three days will give a package of technical skills to make consulting effective, as well as the client relationship skills to achieve consulting excellence.

The course is built on years of consulting experience and will tap into the shared learning and experience of the facilitators, course participants and real-life case studies. Multiple development methodologies are used to suit participants’ different learning styles.

Workshop Facilitator
Barry Poppleton has over 15 years of consulting experience. As Director of P7 Consulting, Barry consults in South Africa, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to running his own international company, Barry was a partner in two management consultancies. He also directed three community based organisations. Barry works with depth and passion in the areas of relationship management, inter-personal communication, diversity management, leadership and management development and conflict resolution. Barry has a Masters in Management and is accredited in multiple behavioural instruments.
