Managing Relationships in the Workplace

Surprisingly, workplace problems like conflict, stress, dissatisfaction and resignations are caused far more often by interpersonal problems than by a lack of skill or poor performance. This program is designed to take a candid look at those hard issues that are often not spoken about. Issues like frustrating colleagues, clashing personalities, ambiguous communication, responding to confrontational messages and reacting  to incompetent team members.

This powerful learning experience  provides a balance of tools and techniques to create effective interpersonal relationships at work and self awareness about how we engage with others.

The first half starts with gaining an understanding of our own and others’ communication preferences using a personality preference instrument. This enables us to diagnose the complex relationships we may find ourselves in.

The second half of the program builds our self awareness and self confidence. Harnessing our strengths and areas of discomfort, the program continues to equip with more integrated techniques that solve problems and build robust relationships.

Outcomes of this programme are:

  • the ability to diagnose difficult relationships;
  • an understanding of how to determine and describe other peoples preferred communication style;
  • the ability to describe one’s own inter-personal needs of relationships;
  • learning to listen more effectively;
  • an accurate measure of your own emotional intelligence;
  • how to be more assertive;
  • a higher level of self confidence;
  • the ability to solve problems more effectively

This course offers you:

  • The space to deal with your own practical workplace issues;
  • A personal and confidential analysis of your inter-personal needs of relationships;
  • A stimulating mix of theory and practice;
  • Input of benefit to work and personal life;
  • A mix of objective tools and stimulating debate;
  • Flexible facilitation that accommodates the needs within the group.
