Experiential workshop:

This one day experiential workshop includes simple and effective techniques for becoming more mindful. It is applicable to anybody who lives and works in a stressful, demanding and overwhelming business environment, or those who simply want to bring more awareness to themselves and connect more fully with life.

The sessions explore the essential principles of mindfulness through a combination of guided mindfulness practices and discussion around the practical applications of mindful leadership as well as mindfulness in everyday life and the workplace.

It’s a great way to learn more about mindfulness, stress reduction and self-regulation.

Modules covered:

  • Introduction to Mindfulness
  • Evidence from Neuroscience
  • Acceptance & understanding stress
  • Focusing and relaxation techniques
  • Mindful use of language
  • Mindful leadership

Session 1: Arriving, Purpose & Introductions

Opening and welcome, workshop format (confidentiality/ experiential), Guided Arriving & reflection on intentions/purpose, sharing in pairs, mindful communications, introductions)

Session 2: Mindfulness & Mindful Leadership:

Experiential guided Mindfulness and Compassion practices, Mindfulness intro, neuroscience, emotion regulation, stress, building resilience, creating breathing spaces, gratitude

Session 3: Mindfulness in Everyday Life

Mindful movement, Mindful walking, Mindfulness Quiz, Formal vs Informal, , Mindfulness in daily life

Session 4: Closing

Summary, personal sharing, one thing to take away/leave behind

 


Facilitator

Nan Lutz left the corporate world after 20 years and is now a Mindfulness Africa qualified facilitator. She has been working with and practicing mindfulness meditation under the guidance of Rob Nairn (Founder of Mindfulness Africa & Mindfulness Association UK) for the past 20 years. She offers Mindfulness, Compassion, Insight and bespoke retreats and courses, for groups and organisations.
