A junior manager is responsible for the day-to-day performance of a small group. It may be a team or a shift. The junior manager has experience in what the group does, but is not necessarily better at it than everyone he/she supervises. The junior manager’s job is to guide the group toward its goals, see that all members of the team are productive and resolve problems as they arise.
The Fasttrack to Management Programme is designed to assist junior managers to cross the boundary from Supervisory to Junior Management level. Practical application of managerial principles forms a focal point in this programme. Participants will learn through practical exercises and organisational examples.

The programme outcome:
The aim of Fasttrack to Management is to provide junior managers/supervisors with the skills and knowledge to manage their teams and organisational outcomes effectively within their workplace.
The methodology is a combination of teaching and experiential learning. The methodology is based on interactive learning, i.e. learners will learn by doing. Furthermore learners will use examples from their own organisations, thus ensuring that the learning is anchored at their workplace. We will strive to effect actual change back at the workplace through effective and practical outcomes based training.
